Specialist Agreement

This Specialist Agreement sets additional terms for users of Tasko Pro. It supplements the Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy. By creating a Pro account, you agree to this Agreement.
1. Independent contractor status
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of Tasko. You control how you perform services (subject to law and client instructions). You are responsible for your own tools, transport, taxes, licences, and insurance where required.
2. Services and conduct
You agree to:
- Offer only services you are competent and legally allowed to perform.
- Provide accurate quotes, ETAs, and scope; update clients promptly in Tasko chat.
- Perform work with reasonable skill and care; leave the site safe and tidy.
- Do not harass clients or request off-platform payment for Tasko jobs.
- Comply with the Acceptable Use Policy (https://tasko.ng/acceptable-use).
3. Verification and payouts
You must provide accurate KYC and bank details. False information may lead to rejection or account closure. Payouts are processed through Paystack (Transfer and/or subaccount settlement). Tasko may delay or freeze payouts during disputes, EDD, fraud review, or payment-partner holds. See https://tasko.ng/kyc-aml.
4. Fees
Tasko charges a platform fee disclosed before hire (currently published as 8% unless otherwise shown at checkout). You receive the net amount after fees. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.
5. Disputes
You may open or respond to disputes on eligible paid jobs. You must respond to evidence requests by the stated deadline. Outcomes may include full/partial release, refund to the client, or split. Process: https://tasko.ng/disputes.
6. Suspension and termination
Tasko may suspend or terminate Pro access for AUP breaches, fraud, repeated no-shows, fake KYC, or payment-partner requirements. You may stop using Tasko Pro at any time. Outstanding disputes and payouts are handled under our policies.
7. Liability
You are responsible for damage or injury arising from your work, except to the extent caused by Tasko's negligence. Tasko's platform liability limits in the Terms apply to your use of the Platform.
